Most clients require 4-6 sessions to achieve the desired results from their treatments.
Homecare is required to achieve full benefits of treatment as well as ensure safety during the course of treatments. This will be tailored to individual clients during the complimentary consultation.
Clients may experience redness, irritation, flaking, and itching after their treatment and this can last up to 2 weeks. In most cases however, any irritation would have subsided within 72 hours.
Mild crusting and blistering may occur. Infection and scarring is a rare possibility and occurs in a small % of the population.
Do NOT expose the treatment area to the sun or solarium 4-6 weeks prior to treatment. We recommend you use a physical sunblock with SPF15+ (available in store) at all times.
Do NOT use spray tan or tanning lotions or creams on the area for at least 2 weeks prior to treatment. All traces of tan have to be removed. The treatment may have to be postponed if you have a tan.
Do not wax, have laser treatments, microdermabrasion, other chemical peels or clinical treatments on the area for at least 2-4 weeks prior to treatment.
Do NOT have Dermal Fillers or Anti-wrinkle injections within 2 weeks of treatment.
Do NOT use active products, including AHA’s, BHA’s, retinols etc for at least 3 days before treatment.
Avoid exfoliation for 3 days before the treatment.
Advise your therapist of any medication you may be currently taking or have taken within the last 2 weeks, both oral or topical. Please ensure that if this changes, even temporarily, that you notify the clinic. Medications can interfere with the safety of treatments.
It is important to be preparing the skin for the treatment as advised during the consultation.
Redness is a common side effect and may last a few hours to a couple of days after treatment.
The skin may feel tight and irritated, similar to a sunburnt feeling.
Flaking can occur and is a common side effect, it may last up to 2 weeks post treatment
For the best results, use the Post Care Kit for 1-2 weeks post treatment, then continue with the active products recommended by your therapist.
If prone to cold sores, treatment may trigger an outbreak. Can use preventative measures prior to treatment to reduce the risk of breakouts or manage severity
It is important to not touch your skin for at least the first hour post treatment as the skin is open, you will risk infection. Alcohol wipe glasses if you need to wear them and phone etc.
It is extremely important to use a physical SPF15+ or greater.
Until redness has completely subsided, avoid the following:
Make-up over the treated area – Mineral Make-up is ok 1 hour after treatment. Please avoid using make-up brushes.
Perfumed lotions or creams, exfoliants, Retin-A products etc.
Very hot and very cold water – use tepid water
Waxing, hair removal creams, bleaching.
Swimming in pools with multiple chemicals, using spas or saunas
Activities that cause heavy perspiration
Sun exposure of the treatment area (ongoing)
All information regarding my treatments at Eden Laser Clinics has been provided both verbally and in writing. This includes, but is not limited to, my treatment plan, pre and post treatment care and potential adverse reactions, with all of my questions being satisfactorily answered. I am aware I must inform the clinic if anything changes in regards to the information provided at this consultation.
I understand there is no guarantee of complete effectiveness of treatments due to various reasons outlined in the consultation, and I will follow the recommended treatment plan to ensure the best possible results are achieved.
While every precaution has been taken to prevent side effects, they can and sometimes do occur. They may include temporary discomfort, redness and swelling, colour changes such as hyper & hypo pigmentation.
If skin lightening (hypo pigmentation) or darkening (hyper pigmentation) occurs, it may take several months to resolve and in some cases may be permanent
After care is required to achieve optimum results and ensure that risk is avoided where possible. This has been completely explained during the consultation and I understand that if the pre and post care advice is not followed, there may be negative side effects.

I acknowledge that I have been recommended by the therapist to use specifically chosen aftercare products, which have been specifically formulated for optimum results.
I understand that using other products purchased elsewhere may not offer the same result and/or potentially irritate the treated area
I consent to photographic documentation of treatment. Photographs will not be used for advertising without my consent.
I understand the fee structure and the cost of undergoing the treatment.
I accept that my pre-paid treatments are not transferable or refundable
I accept all risks of treatment and consent to undergoing treatment
I am NOT tanned from any source, including sun exposure, tanning lotions, spray tan, solariums etc.
I do NOT have a history of abnormal scarring
I have NOT taken the drug Roaccutane in the last 6 months
I do NOT have any blood borne infections
I have NOT had any deep chemical peels or laser resurfacing in the last 6 months
I am aged 18 years or over (otherwise guardian to sign)
I am NOT pregnant
Eden Laser Clinics have a 24hr cancellation policy. If cancellation occurs less than 24hrs or the client does NOT show up for their prepaid appointment at the time it was booked, this session will be forfeited. If this treatment is PAYG, the client will be required to pay a 50% deposit for their next booking.

By signing below, you acknowledge you have read, understood and accept the terms and conditions outlined in Eden Laser Clinics treatment consent form, and all information you have supplied is true at the time of signing this form. If any of your medical or personal circumstances change, you must notify the clinic you attend immediately so we can update your file for future treatments.
When a prepaid package of up to 6 treatments is purchased, all treatments must be redeemed within 18 months of the purchase date. Any left-over treatments will expire. When a prepaid package of 7 or more treatments in purchased, all treatments must be redeemed within 24 months of the purchase date. Any left-over treatments will expire.
